Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays are market days in PG. The villages surrounding the area come in on old school buses bought from the U.S. packed with villagers and their produce. The market street is full of food, people and noise. Since there are no grocery stores with fresh produce, we generally go to market on Saturday morning to buy fruits and vegetables for the week. Some local things are papaya, pineapple, oranges, grapefruit, calaloo, chaya, cilantro, chayote, and many more.
